Steve and his wife, Monica live here in Lexington, IL. Steve stays busy managing their rental properties and loving their children and grandchildren. They have been coming to LCC since 2023 and right from the beginning plugged into church life and serving. They are greeters at church, host a small group in their home and are always willing to lend a helping hand.
‘I’ve attended church all of my life merely going through the “holy motions” and performing my faith through many church activities. While attending our previous church’s marital counseling, I realized I did not have a personal relationship with Christ. Then on Oct 12, 2020, at a counseling session, I fully surrendered my life. Now I seek Jesus Christ daily and I know confidently that I will spend eternity with our Lord in Heaven someday. I still fight the “old man” I used to be every day, but rely on His grace and mercy to support this “new man”. My hope is that all who hear my story, especially my family, experience the Joy of Salvation in Christ Jesus.’
