MEN’S GROUPS

Saturday Morning- Men’s Bible Study
Leader: John Mohr
Location: Church Library
When: Every Saturday morning @ 6-8am
This group has been meeting since 2001. They are committed to study God’s Word and have read through every book of the Bible at least once. Participants are encouraged to share their questions which are then explored with the Bible and the many resources in the library.
Other book studies have also been done, one on Desiring God by John Piper and currently they are listening to a sermon series by Dr. Tony Evans on the Holy Spirit. Their past studies have included word studies like the word “work” and what work should look and feel like for us as believers. They have studied themes like baptism, and often turn to Wayne Grudem’s Systematic theology to supplement the Bible in exploring doctrines like regeneration, conversion, etc. They enjoy the fact that there are 4 Bible translations being used: NKJ, King James, ESV and NIV, as this really enriches the study.

Saturday Morning- Men’s Bible Study
Leader: Andrew Gerber
Location: Bloomington Area
When: 1st and 3rd Saturday mornings @ 6-7am
A group of four to five men meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Currently they are studying spiritual disciplines from a series of sermons by Timothy Keller. The main focuses of the group are to engage in in-depth conversation about God’s Word and to apply Scripture to their lives. When they first started meeting about a year ago, they began studying the book of Colossians. They have put this on pause while they go through the Timothy Keller sermon series. The group enjoys the recurring opportunity to get to know one another better.

Saturday Morning- Men’s Bible Study
Leader: Wade Fehr
Location: Wade Fehr’s Home
When: Saturday Mornings
Every Saturday morning, at 5:45, a men’s Bible study meets at the Fehr’s home outside Forrest. This group started many years ago and has gone through different studies: a study of covenant theology and 1 Peter; The Apostles Creed; the book Caring for One Another by Ed Welch; and the book of 1 John. Recently, they have been singing a song together, accompanied by Thomas Luke on the guitar, to start off their study time. It’s a great group of guys with a very good dynamic from different church backgrounds and some from different churches. This gives different perspectives and makes for great conversations.
WOMEN’S GROUPS

Do you want to grow deeper in your understanding of the Bible? This study is for you. Even if you are unable to make all the meetings you are welcome to join and participate in the reading and workbook. Heartlifters

The Heartlifters group has been around for longer than anyone can remember. They exist to lift hearts in many ways. They take outings, with the church shuttle, to various places of interest as a chance to enjoy and spend time with each other. They meet twice a month to plan and delegate tasks and always welcome new people to join them.
