Kendall has served at Lexington Community Church since 2015. His main pastoral duties include preaching, shepherding the congregation, leading the staff, and casting vision for the ministry.
Prior to arriving at Lexington, Kendall pastored at East White Oak Bible Church in Carlock, IL (2006-15), University Heights Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN (2003-06), and La Cañada Korean Church in La Cañada, CA (2001-03).
He married his wife, Davett, in the spring of 2000. The newlyweds then moved to California for seminary where he completed his Master of Divinity degree at The Master’s Seminary. After welcoming three children (daughter Addis, and two sons Carter and Micah), Kendall continued his studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky where he finished his Doctor of Ministry degree in expository preaching.
Together, Kendall and Davett have been involved in adoption and adoption care, having founded an orphan care ministry in Zimbabwe, Africa that helps place children into Christian families. 1 Peter 2:9 is the verse of Scripture that best captures the goal and focus of their lives and ministry – to “Proclaim the excellencies of God who called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light.”
