Our Savior took time to talk to children, and care for them. Nothing was to hinder a young one from coming to know Him (Matt 18:1-14).
God also instituted the family unit from the 6th literal day of creation through the marriage of man and woman. Malachi 2:15 says, God was seeking Godly offspring from marriages. Since parents are the primary teachers of their children in all things, God desires a marriage to reflect Himself, and for children to see God in the intimacy of selfless love that their parents share.
Since this is what God seeks, we desire to not only do our part to be an extended family who teaches kids through different programs, but also to support the parents who are at all times a living witness for Christ to their offspring.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Why have a church nursery?
1. For parents to be able to worship the Lord without distraction and with peace of mind.
2. To help our infants and toddlers learn and grow socially, mentally, and spiritually as they development.
The Christ-loving adults who staff our nursery understand these purposes, and honestly care for the children as their own. This attitude stems from the example of Jesus Christ, and from the familial relationships that come from unity in our body. All volunteers willingly submit themselves to a background check, multiple questionnaires, and training before they come in contact with any children.
Children in nursery are in the midst of a loving, protective family that will care for your children as if they were their own. We promise.
Every Sunday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 we have age specific Sunday school classes for:
4 Yrs-1st Grade (room 205) – Patti Thomas
2nd-4th Grade – (room 204) – Wade & Alana Fehr
5-8th Grade (room 206) – Rodney Bahler
Each class is moving through a three year curriculum from Answers in Genesis designed to teach children, teens, and adults the entire Bible and apologetics. We have it available as well for adults so that they can be on the same track and learn the same material at their level as their children, equipping them to better disciple kids in the home. Click here for more information about Answers Bible Curriculum.
Children K-2 are invited to take part in Children’s church during the sermon and will be escorted from just outside the sanctuary to the upstairs children’s wing where you will be able to pick up your child at the end of service.
K-1st grade are taught in room 205, and 2nd grade is taught in the main room of the children’s wing. The same Answers Bible Curriculum which is being used in Sunday school is being taught in Children’s church as well.
Every July, our families both young and old, with and without children come together for By the Way. It is a unique conference meant for children and adults of all ages to come together and grow closer to Jesus and each other.
It runs Thursday and Friday night, as well as Saturday morning. Childcare, meals, classes for children, worship, and seminars for adults are all provided so that practical applications of Biblical truth in the midst of a Christian life can be learned and shared.
It is not a conference meant solely for the LCC, but for any Christians or those seeking the Lord and a transformative relationship with Him.
In 2019, By the Way is scheduled for July 11-13.
