FAITHFUL FISHERMEN

The Faithful Fishermen's Ministry was started in hopes of reaching souls for Christ. Our church is unlike many other churches in that we are fishermen. Many churches will be inundated with golfers or athletes of some type, but our church is full of men, women and children who love to fish. At last count I think there were 18 boats in the church.

We also have a burden for children who have no fatherly influence in their lives. Our desire is to introduce these children to the great sport of fishing in hopes that it will keep them from getting involved with those destructive things that idle kids often run into. We seek to make a difference in their lives.

We also hold monthly meetings between November and April. Each meeting has a guest speaker who offers expertise in a specific area of fishing. Each meeting is ended with free door prizes and refreshments. These meetings are a great way to meet new people and to pass the long winter months. Meetings are held in the church Fellowship Hall on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.

Lastly, our greatest desire is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus called His disciples to be "fishers of men." As Jesus' disciples today, we seek to honor Him by sharing Him with as many folks as we can. We do not push Him on them, but instead live Him in front of them, and we do this by serving others just as Jesus did.

Nothing brings a smile on kids face faster than setting the hook on his or her first fish. Everything else is icing on the cake. If you love the sport of fishing, or have never fished and would like to help us make a difference in kid's lives please join us?
