We do this through a few different avenues....

Sunday School - Morning Worship - Weekend Events

Pulse Groups - Retreats and Missions Trips

Our Junior High and High School Sunday School meets at 8:30 AM Sunday morning and afterwards we worship with the church at 10 AM.

We have weekend activities on a rotational basis for student grades 7-12 and in that rotation we have home gatherings, service activities, outreach events, and even the occasional gym night. Home gatherings are relaxing and full of fun and conversation. Service activities have involved things like putting together Easter baskets for people in nursing homes, serving food at a soup kitchen, and purchasing food and raising money for food pantries. Outreach events can be anything from a minor league baseball game to a camping and canoeing trip.

The meat and potatoes of Foundations is our Wednesday night Pulse groups, which take place from 6:30- 8:00 PM during the school year. Pulse groups are where we join together to study God’s Word, the Bible, eat together, and discuss how the light and truth of Scripture ought to change our lives.

The Foundation of every Christian’s life is Jesus Christ, and at Lexington Community Church that is what our Youth Ministry aims for... That every teenager would come to know the love of Jesus Christ and to lean on him as their Foundation.

Note From Pastor Tyler:

Wow, this summer has flown. I know that summer is pretty awesome, but let’s be honest students, life for you centers around school. I want to encourage you now to take to heart Matthew 10:32-33 “ 32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, 33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. “

Will you be firm in your faith even around your friends and peers at school? Will you be willing to say that something others are doing is wrong, will you speak the name of Jesus to others? If you do then Jesus will gladly claim you in the end, but if you deny him, have nothing to dow with his name, or other Christians at school, then it is scary but you should expect to be denied by Christ in the end. Will you live out your faith, or live out your life for yourself? That is the challenge before you as you begin school.

Foundations T-Shirts

Money and Sign-Up Deadline =

September 15

Bring your paintball guns and $10 for paint/air. Also borrow any of your friends paintball supplies, like goggles, guns, air tanks, barrel plugs, etc. Come Ready to play.

You will need to take home and have your parents sign a waiver in order to participate, but you will be saving almost $40 by us having our own course vs. going to Funk’s Grove.

The students are the main catalyst of this event. Whatever students raise or bring to give towards Ministry and More’s food pantry will be matched by the church. We will then take and use the money to buy supplies at Walmart together!

We are going to head to Comlara park to hike and enjoy the outdoors for an evening. Wear jeans and bring some money to eat at McDonald’s when we’re done!
